What is an RFC?
An RFC (Request for Comments) is a design document that proposes significant technical changes. RFCs ensure that:
- Changes are well-thought-out before implementation
- Stakeholders can provide feedback during design phase
- Decisions are documented for future reference
- Knowledge is shared across the team
